Descending from a generational legacy of aviators—including a great-uncle who flew air mail in the 1920s and relatives in military and commercial aviation—Ayers has established himself as a central figure in the regional flight training community. His professional background is uniquely comprehensive, as he is not only an elite pilot but also a FAA-certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic with Inspection Authorization (IA).
With over 7,000 total flight hours and more than 5,500 hours of dual instruction provided, Ayers brings an exceptional level of technical proficiency to the checkride environment. He holds multiple ratings including CFI, CFII, and MEI, with experience in over 50 aircraft makes and models, ranging from light sport and tailwheel aircraft to high-performance Mooney and Cirrus platforms. As a FAASTeam Representative, he is widely recognized for a thorough yet fair evaluation style that emphasizes strict adherence to the Airman Certification Standards (ACS) and proactive risk management, specializing in Private, Commercial, and Instrument certifications.
