Bradley "Chip" Gibbons is a veteran Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) and Gold Seal flight instructor based at Thaden Field in Bentonville, Arkansas. With over 45 years of aviation experience, he has conducted countless checkrides and mentored hundreds of pilots across the Northwest Arkansas region. Gibbons holds Master CFI, CFII, and MEI certifications, specializing in the precision and skill required for tailwheel and backcountry operations. Throughout his extensive career, he has maintained an exemplary safety record, a standard he continues to uphold as a lead FAASTeam Representative.
Beyond his technical role as an examiner, Chip is a widely recognized leader in the recreational aviation community. He is the founder of Point Six Aviation and played a central role in establishing the Fly Oz network, an initiative that promotes the Ozarks as a destination for off-airport adventure. His contributions to safety and education include the development of the Airfield Guide for the Recreational Aviation Foundation (RAF). Known for his expertise in Super Cubs and his dedication to "low and slow" flying, Gibbons remains one of the most influential figures in Arkansas aviation.
