Alvin Guthery

Alvin Guthery is a highly respected FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) based at Miami Executive Airport (KTMB). With over four decades of experience in the aviation industry, Guthery has become a staple of the South Florida flight training community. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and is a seasoned Certified Flight Instructor with Single-Engine, Multi-Engine, and Instrument ratings (CFI, CFII, MEI). His career began with a deep-rooted passion for general aviation, eventually transitioning into professional instruction and examining where he has conducted thousands of checkrides across various certificate levels.

Throughout his extensive career, Guthery has accumulated over 15,000 flight hours, specializing in single-engine and multi-engine land aircraft operations. Before becoming a full-time DPE and leading Guthery Aviation, Inc., he built a reputation for high safety standards and meticulous attention to regulatory compliance.
